The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today...August 18th

Outside my window... My beautiful husky, Beamer, stretched out for a nap in the sun.

I am thinking... Will it I get everything done today that I want to do?

I am thankful for ... God's never ending blessings. When we think that he has forgotten about us that is just when he moves! It's all in his time...

From the kitchen ... Toast, I love the smell of fresh toast. For dinner we are having Shrimp & Broccoli Pasta in a White Wine Sauce with bread sticks.

I am wearing... Denim Capris, Blue Polo Shirt, & flip flops.

I am reading... Actually I just finished a book and haven't started anything new. I need to try to fit in a trip to the library this week.

I am hoping... that my brother's new baby is doing well. He was born yesterday 4 weeks early. They took him to Children's Hospital last night, but they've already taken him off the oxygen. The doctor's say he will be fine, but they are going to keep him a week.

I am hearing... WIVK, a country station in Knoxville, Reba is singing "Whatever's in New England"

Around the house... pick-up around the house, straighten up the kitchen and dining room so I can spend the afternoon sewing. I don't have a lot of time left to finish the projects for my sister's new baby. It is due in October!

One of my favorite things... walking on a cool fall day. Won't be long now before I can do that.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Get my hair cut. It has been 7 months since I've had a haircut and my hair has literally grown a foot! Finish a couple of sewing projects. Work on Tuesday & Wednesday. Take Beth shopping on Thursday or Friday afternoon. Pick up Angel Food on Saturday!!!!

A picture to share with you...

Sunrise at Myrtle Beach last summer...
